After practicing law for 15 years, she turned her attention to the financial and management aspects of legal service delivery.  For several years, she worked closely with Lockheed Martin to apply project management to complex litigation. This involved the novel use of traditional project management tools such as stakeholder analysis, development of project requirements and process mapping, together with less traditional use of decision-tree analysis and game theory concepts.  She is now working with another Fortune 50 company to apply project management practices to a high-stakes antitrust and intellectual property matter.

A faculty member for the Association of Corporate Counsel’s master class on project management, Ms. Leventon has trained 200+ general counsels on project management and is engaged in a multi-phase training program for all lawyers and staff of a major corporate law department.  She is also NITA-trained and is part of NITA’s new initiative to offer training programs on business skills for lawyers.

Ms. Leventon is a key player in helping to bridge the chasm that often exists between clients and outside lawyers with regard to the management and value of legal services.  She is working with numerous AmLaw50 firms to introduce project management practices to their practice groups through customized group training and matter-specific coaching.  This includes training programs for associates, partners, practice groups and entire firms and legal departments.

Prior to QLex, Ms. Leventon was a partner in the legal management consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers and in the U.S. office of Blaqwell Inc.  At PwC, she led the Law Department Spending Survey and the Law Firm Statistical Survey.  She practiced law at Proskauer Rose LLP and Equitable Life/AXA.  Ms. Leventon has an MBA from Columbia University and a law degree from Cornell Law School, where she was Managing Editor of the Cornell Law Review.
